Korineum Golf & Country Club

Situated to the east of Kyrenia on the coast at the foot of the Five Finger Mountain in Esentepe, the Korineum Golf & Country Club is the first full 18 hole golf course in Northern Cyprus. The course has been created amongst a natural forest of Umbrella Pines and Olive trees. The course has views of the  Mediterranean Sea on one side, and the famous Five Finger Mountain range on the other.

Korineum Golf & Country Club also caters for numerous social activities. The impressive 3,300m2 club house contains a fitness centre, unisex hair styling salon, massage parlour and sauna. The restaurant provides quality cuisine married with picturesque views. In addition, the club house has two fully equipped conference rooms which can accommodate 100 and 60 guests respectively. The conference rooms can be combined by means of partition.

• The Course is 6,232 metres in length and is designed for golfers of all standards and ages. The Paspalum playing surface is maintained in excellent condition throughout the year, and has strategically placed bunkers and water hazards.

Cengiz Topel Golf Club

The Cengiz Topel Golf Club is located about 40 minutes from Kyrenia on the Guzelyurt to Lefke road in the village of Yesilyurt. The sign for the club is on the right as you leave the village. The course is laid out in two loops of nine with 17 tees; it plays to a par 70 and measures 5233 yards.

The course is both interesting and challenging with four seaside holes providing a cooling breeze on the hottest days. The 9 hole course features 2 par 3's, 6 par 4's and a par 5, the par 5 along the seaside has a large palm tree on the putting surface, the par 4 2nd has a dry water hazard with a 150 yard carry, the 12th has a 130 yard carry along the seaside and back over the said water hazard.

With insufficient water to create greens these are replaced by browns, a mixture of sand and oil that provides a very good putting surface.

For golf April and May are hot, but not unbearably so, as are September and October. November to March is cooler, don't expect to get a deep suntan and these months can also see some rain. In June, July and August, do not plan to play golf in the mid day sun, earlier tee times are best.
